Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Logan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cinton Klaucque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Logan misses with a takedown attempt - Klaucque sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Logan fails to land the takedown.
Klaucque slaps away a takedown attempt from Logan, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Klaucque is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Logan gets his way!

Logan feints and as Klaucque raises his hands in defense, Logan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Klaucque tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Logan wants to control from the top but Klaucque keeps moving.

Logan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Klaucque, up you get!

Klaucque jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Logan is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Logan and Klaucque has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Klaucque tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Klaucque tries to stand but Logan controls the position and pulls Klaucque into his guard.
Logan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Klaucque is controlling him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Logan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Klaucque can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Klaucque drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Klaucque goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Logan has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Klaucque but great work by Logan.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Logan connects with a good right hand that stumbles Klaucque. Klaucque circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Logan closes the distance and clinches.
Logan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Klaucque gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Logan lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Klaucque tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Logan smiles and moves away.

Klaucque looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Logan is looking to control Klaucque's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Logan avoid being mounted?
Logan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Logan is trying to control the position but Klaucque postures up.

Klaucque is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Logan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Logan has escaped and now he's on top!

Klaucque throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Logan escapes and throws Klaucque's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Logan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Klaucque, who protects the arm well.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to James Logan.
