Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dan Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Dimaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kim's entrance music is Drake-Forever. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bryan Dimaya!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dimaya drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kim is pushing Dimaya's head away, looking to escape. Dimaya manages to hold on to the position though.
Kim really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dimaya just content to control the position.
I looks like Dimaya might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bryan Dimaya.
Kim gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Dimaya decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kim's guard.
Dimaya stays in close to Kim's body and controls the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kim wants to stand up but Dimaya is controlling him.

Dimaya closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kim looks like he's trying to stand up.
Dimaya slows the pace down in half guard.
Kim is trying to stand back up but Dimaya is controlling him

Kim is looking to control Dimaya's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kim avoid being mounted?

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kim is trying to stand.
Dimaya is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Kim slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Dimaya is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

and Kim counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Dimaya!

Kim is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Dimaya has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Dimaya!
Dimaya must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kim looking to control.
Kim can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dimaya controls the pace.
Kim will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kim is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dimaya content to stall in guard here.

A close second round but Bryan Dimaya will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Dimaya darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kim manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Dimaya's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Kim wants to sweep but no luck.

Dimaya is stalling in the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bryan Dimaya.
Dimaya misses with a takedown

and Kim counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Bryan Dimaya has got the better of the ground game so far.
Dimaya seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Kim drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dimaya looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dimaya looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dimaya!
Dimaya happy to just control the position for now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Dimaya's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bryan Dimaya.
Dimaya shoots and misses

and Kim counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dimaya won't be happy with that.
Dimaya has one of Kim's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

Kim is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dimaya knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Kim is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dimaya has escaped the position, nice work there.
Dimaya wants to get back to his feet but Kim drags him back down.
Dan Kim has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kim misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Dimaya can't do much from the bottom here.

Kim tries for a kimura but Dimaya is defending well.
Dimaya is looking to regain half guard here but Kim keeps moving and retains side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dan Kim showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Dimaya has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
