Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Law (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TheRock Obama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Law comes to the cage accompanied by Diablo Blvd by Corrosion Of Conformity. Obama has chosen The Realest Sport as his entrance music. TheRock Obama has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, TheRock Obama!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Law circles away from the clinch attempt.

Law scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Law in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Law has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Law fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Law looking to control but instead Obama has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Law with the ground and pound but Obama uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Obama wants to stand up but Law is controlling him.
Law pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Obama is keeping the position for now.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Law accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Law looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Obama preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Law is pushing down on Obama's leg trying to pass to half guard. Obama is fighting to maintain full guard but Law has managed to sneak the leg through.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Law is keen to just control but Obama is a slippery customer.
Obama is trying to stand up here but Law is controlling him well.
Law throws a strike but Obama avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Obama uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Obama swats away the attempt to clinch by Law.

Obama utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Law thows a big elbow that misses.

Law wants to get up but he can't break Obama's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Law connects with a couple of short punches.

Obama keeping moving, preventing Law from controlling successfully.
Obama wants to stand up but Law is controlling him.

Obama wriggles free and stands up.

Law closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Law creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Law stops a takedown attempt from Obama.
Law lands an elbow inside.
Obama has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Law avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Obama looks gassed!
Law has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Obama is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Law escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Obama clinches but Law breaks the clinch

and Law counters with a nice double leg into side control. Obama won't be happy with that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Obama misses with an uppercut. Law saw that one coming.

Obama shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Obama wants to stand but Law has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Obama got a little sloppy there for a moment and Law has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Obama has managed to get both his arms back between Law's legs - danger averted.

Law is working an open guard so Obama takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Law bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Law is really struggling to control Obama but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Robbie Law overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Law throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Obama is breathing heavily.

Obama trying to remain calm as Law controls from the top position.
Obama is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Obama is trying to drag Law to the mat but Law just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Robbie Law has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of TheRock Obama.

You can see the frustration on Obama's face as Law controls the position.
Law seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Obama for as long as he can get away with.
Law cracks Obama with a big right hand but Obama just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Law wants to lay and pray for a moment but Obama keeps working.

and Law counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Law darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Law working over Obama with some ground and pound. Obama looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Obama is staying active underneath Law, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Law works his way into full mount!
Law lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Law throws some wild stikes that Obama manages to avoid easily.
Law misses with a head shot.
Robbie Law is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Obama trying desperately to get to his feet.
Law controlling his opponent.
Law connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Well Law has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
