Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wagner Fabiano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joaquin Marins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wagner Fabiano has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wagner Fabiano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joaquin Marins! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fabiano. Fabiano really is a fat lump. Fabiano bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Fabiano scores a takedown into full mount! Fabiano avoids the attempt from Marins to control. Marins working to try and regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marins tries to lock up and control but Fabiano gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Marins slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Marins is doing well to control the position and prevent Fabiano from advancing to side control. Let's hope that Marins has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Marins moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Marins tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marins manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Marins looking to control and managing it successfully. Fabiano knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marins on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Marins is working for a guillotine from mount but Fabiano frees his head quite easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fabiano really wants to buck Marins off and get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joaquin Marins dominated that round. That's time! Fabiano's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Fabiano fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Fabiano tries to clinch up. Marins gets the takedown into side control. Marins taking a breather here. Marins is trying to get an arm triangle but Fabiano is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marins takes a little break here. Fabiano wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Fabiano defending against the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Marins controls the position from side control.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Joaquin Marins. Fabiano is looking to clinch but Marins is avoiding it.
Marins circles away from the clinch attempt.
Marins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Fabiano working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Marins. Fabiano can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Marins controls the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marins wants to pass the guard but Fabiano is keeping the position. Fabiano is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Marins is controlling him. Fabiano keeping full guard, as Marins tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Marins controls from within his opponent's guard. Marins keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fabiano's head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Marins pushes down on Fabiano's leg and manages to get into half guard. Marins trying to mount his opponent but Fabiano defends it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joaquin Marins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Marins drives through with a takedown into guard. Marins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fabiano swivels though and keeps the full guard. Marins showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marins passes easily into side control. Nice work. Marins just content to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Marins misses with the ground and pound. Marins is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Fabiano might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marins wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Fabiano, who protects the arm well. Fabiano trying to remain calm as Marins controls from the top position. Marins prevents Fabiano from escaping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The referee asks Marins politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Marins prefers to stall for the moment though.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Joaquin Marins. Fabiano with a poor takedown and Marins counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Marins is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Joaquin Marins is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Joaquin Marins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Marins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
