Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Son Goku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendez tries to land a front kick but Goku steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Goku swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Mendez throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Goku sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

and Goku counters with a crisp one two that drops Mendez! Goku thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Mendez to his feet! Mendez is in big trouble!

Mendez looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Goku feints and then cracks Mendez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mendez down.
Goku throws a leg kick which misses Mendez's front leg but catches the back leg as Mendez tries to avoid it.
Mendez takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Mendez is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Goku lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mendez circles away quickly and effectively.

Goku throws a right and a left that both miss.
The fighters circling - Goku throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Goku lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mendez backs up against the cage.

Goku throws a nice looking combination but Mendez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Oh Mendez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Goku sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Mendez's defenses. It connects perfectly with Mendez's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
