Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buck Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Layfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Queens of the Stone Age - Goin Out West. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Layfield!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Chad Campbell and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
Layfield uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jones.
Layfield fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jones gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Layfield to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Layfield missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Layfield wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
Jones kicks Layfield off and gets to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Layfield shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
No luck for Layfield with that takedown attempt.
Buck Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Layfield.
Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Layfield shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jones ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Layfield looks gassed!
Layfield misses with a few strikes there.
Layfield fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Layfield shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Layfield keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jones scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Layfield doesn't seem bothered though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jones connects with a right hand. Layfield shakes it off.
Layfield closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away.
Jones lands with an overhand left.

Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
Jones lands with a shot to the body.
Layfield takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Jones lands with a big left! Layfield is wobbled badly! Jones comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Layfield to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
