PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Mehoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl The Crusher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mehoff might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Choke Sermon by Lamb of God. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Mehoff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Carl The Crusher!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Mehoff does it's job there.
Mehoff cracks The Crusher with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.


It looks like Carl The Crusher has been cut.

Mehoff moves into the clinch.
The Crusher drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mehoff pulls his leg out and moves away.

Mehoff changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The Crusher looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Mehoff is trying to get an arm triangle but The Crusher is defending well.
The Crusher trying to control but Mehoff flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!

Mehoff tightening his grip on The Crusher, looking for the choke.
The Crusher is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Mehoff off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mehoff throwing sloppy strikes.
Mehoff will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mehoff tries to keep control of the position but The Crusher is staying busy.
Mehoff throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.
The Crusher tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Mehoff connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The Crusher is in all sorts of trouble here.
Mehoff looking to finish with strikes here!
The Crusher can't escape the position.
The Crusher is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mehoff dominating with strikes here.
Mehoff lands with some vicious ground and pound - can The Crusher hang on?
A nice elbow there by Mehoff.

Mehoff goes for an armbar but The Crusher turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from The Crusher.
The Crusher wants to stand but Mehoff is controlling his posture from full guard.
Mehoff is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Mehoff looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks The Crusher with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The Crusher blocking the ground and pound attempt from Mehoff.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The Crusher is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Mehoff scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Mehoff working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on The Crusher's thigh. The Crusher counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Mehoff throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The Crusher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mehoff. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mehoff wants to pass the guard but The Crusher is keeping the position.

Mehoff postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! The Crusher is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mehoff, into his guard.
Mehoff is breathing heavily.

The Crusher stands up from guard. Let's bang!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The Crusher lands a nice hook to Mehoff's body. Mehoff takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Mehoff throws a jab but it's blocked by The Crusher.
Mehoff lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Mehoff slips a jab and a cross from The Crusher.
Jack Mehoff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The Crusher ducks under a wild hook from Mehoff.
No joy there for The Crusher, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mehoff shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. The Crusher defends it nicely.
Mehoff pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Mehoff dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Carl The Crusher's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


The Crusher moves out of range of the leg kick from Mehoff.
Mehoff fails to land with a series of punches.
The Crusher on the wrong end of a nice jab.
The Crusher takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Mehoff stuffs the takedown.
The Crusher scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Jack Mehoff has been cut.

Mehoff clinches up with The Crusher and pushes him back against the cage.
The Crusher trying to control the position but instead, Mehoff has worked for underhooks and has pushed The Crusher into the cage.

Mehoff breaks the clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from The Crusher. Mehoff does a little dance to reset his feet.
The Crusher misses with a wild combination.
The Crusher uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
The Crusher misses with a few strikes there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mehoff swings away with a body shot that misses
and The Crusher counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Mehoff! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by The Crusher!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carl The Crusher!
