The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackmore has a takedown stuffed.
Blackmore shoots in looking for a takedown. Pride tries to sprawl out of it but Blackmore keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pride manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Blackmore closes the distance and clinches up with Pride, looking for a takedown. Blackmore pushes Pride against the cage but Pride circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gay Pride has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Blackmore.
Horrible takedown by Blackmore or perhaps it was just good defense by Pride which made him look bad.
Blackmore misses with a takedown attempt - Pride sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Pride shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Blackmore's guard.

Blackmore is looking for a triangle but Pride pushes his legs off easily.
