Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Box Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machine has chosen HERE WE GOOOOO! as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Ben Askren has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ben Askren seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machine lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like Ben Askren has been cut.

Askren feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Askren has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Askren tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Askren has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
