Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Proudstar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Proudstar comes to the cage accompanied by "Run to the hills" by Iron Maiden. Doe has chosen Lux Aeterna as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Proudstar defending well as Doe loads up on a big left hand.
Doe slips a jab from Proudstar.
Proudstar takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Doe cracks Proudstar with a right hand to the side of the head.
Proudstar takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Doe throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Doe tries a head kick but it misses.

Proudstar has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Doe.
Doe throws a leg kick which misses Proudstar's front leg but catches the back leg as Proudstar tries to avoid it.

Doe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Proudstar closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Doe throws a leg kick that misses.
Doe uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Proudstar.
Proudstar chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Doe can pounce on him.

John Doe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doe throws out a leg kick but Proudstar moves out of range and Doe only half commits.

Oh Proudstar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Proudstar crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Doe - the referee stops the clock and Proudstar gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Doe. Proudstar manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Crack! A monster head kick from Doe and Proudstar falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Doe!
