Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Trey Cobb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Trey Cobb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Walker!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Walker finds it's target.
Walker dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cobb. That did some damage!
Walker scores with a decent looking hook.
Walker looks to land a combination but Cobb avoids it well.
Cobb on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Walker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Walker wants it to stay on the feet.
Cobb shoots in for a takedown but Walker shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jay Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cobb throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Walker's waist but Walker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cobb off to one side.

Walker has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Walker lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Walker might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Walker lands with an uppercut that bounces Cobb off the cage and back into rage.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cobb. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cobb drops his hands momentarily and Walker takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Cobb shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Walker as he avoids it easily.

Jay Walker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Walker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
