The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angelo shoots in looking for a takedown. Merenhor tries to sprawl out of it but Angelo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Merenhor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Angelo looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Angelo takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Tiago Angelo has been cut.
Decent striking displayed by Merenhor there.
Merenhor lands with a big left! Angelo is wobbled badly! Merenhor comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Angelo to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
