Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John Dutch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hal Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, John Dutch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hal Hill!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dutch shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dutch showed some decent athleticism there.
Hill is looking to improve his position.

Hill looking for submissions off his back.
Dutch thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Dutch has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dutch in particular looking to stall.
Hill wants to improve his position but Dutch is controlling well.

Hill working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dutch doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dutch manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dutch takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dutch cracks Hill with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Hill shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dutch as he jumps to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hill tries to move into range but Dutch moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Dutch throws a hook but Hill avoids it easily.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dutch's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Hill throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Dutch escapes and throws Hill's legs to the side, diving into side control!
