The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Sith fails in his attempt to clinch.

Santos drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but The Sith manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Santos has The Sith in his guard.

Santos is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and The Sith defends well.

The Sith drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and The Sith jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The Sith is pressed up against the cage. Santos has hold of a leg and is looking to drag The Sith down to the mat. The Sith avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Santos looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Santos, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
