Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tank Abrahms (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammad El Sayed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Sayed has chosen Stand Up by Trapt as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tank Abrahms!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mohammad El Sayed!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Sayed slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Abrahms looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Abrahms walks into a jab.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by El Sayed!
Abrahms shoots in and drives through. El Sayed sprawls well.
El Sayed misses with an attempted mid kick.
El Sayed pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Abrahms is looking to clinch but El Sayed is avoiding it.
Abrahms shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. El Sayed defends it nicely.

El Sayed lands an elbow inside that Abrahms shrugs off.


It looks like Tank Abrahms has been cut.
El Sayed tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Abrahms's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Abrahms shoots in for a takedown but El Sayed shows good takedown defense.
Abrahms walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Abrahms blocks a head kick by El Sayed.
Donk. El Sayed catches Abrahms right on the button with a cross.
El Sayed works over Abrahms's head and body with a nice combination.
El Sayed tries to clinch up.
Mohammad El Sayed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Abrahms looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Abrahms is looking to take a break and control but El Sayed is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Abrahms takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
El Sayed displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Abrahms.

Abrahms throws a big shot that misses.
El Sayed throws a hook but Abrahms blocks it.
El Sayed moves into range and connects with a jab.
Abrahms throws a right and a left that El Sayed avoids nicely.
Abrahms doesn't manage to clinch there - El Sayed circles away.
Abrahms connects with a solid leg kick.
El Sayed throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
El Sayed is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Abrahms had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
El Sayed scores with a nice strike.
Abrahms closes this distance looking for a takedown but El Sayed circles away.
El Sayed paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Abrahms tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Abrahms scores a takedown into full mount!
Abrahms won't let El Sayed get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
El Sayed is in all sorts of trouble here.
Abrahms unloads with some shots from mount but El Sayed bucks and avoids them well.
Abrahms thowing shots but they're missing.
El Sayed is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Abrahms sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Abrahms throws some wild stikes that El Sayed manages to avoid easily.
El Sayed holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Abrahms tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Abrahms scoring with strikes but El Sayed is staying in there.
Abrahms trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mohammad El Sayed dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Tank Abrahms's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


El Sayed with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
El Sayed's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and El Sayed duly obliges.
Abrahms will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Abrahms tries to clinch but El Sayed is having none of it.
Mohammad El Sayed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Abrahms takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Abrahms connects with a looping right hand.
El Sayed scores with a push kick.
El Sayed misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
El Sayed scores with a hook.

Abrahms closes the distance and clinches.
El Sayed with an attempt at a knee that misses.
El Sayed stalling in the clinch but Abrahms improves position.
Abrahms avoids a wild elbow strike from El Sayed.
El Sayed takes a knee to the side of the body.

Abrahms using the Thai plumb to throw knees but El Sayed has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Abrahms gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
El Sayed is breathing heavily.
Abrahms is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
El Sayed manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Abrahms escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
El Sayed misses with a double jab
and Abrahms counters with a monster head kick that knocks El Sayed out cold! He topples like fallen a tree, crashing to the mat! Timbeeeeeerrr!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Tank Abrahms!
