Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Lancaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Boyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pete Boyle will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Malcolm Lancaster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pete Boyle! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boyle looks to land a right hand but Lancaster moved out of range. Boyle throws a hook to the side of Lancaster's head but Lancaster sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Boyle lands a body shot.
Boyle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lancaster manages to avoid it. Lancaster fails with the takedown. Boyle throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lancaster feints and as Boyle raises his hands in defense, Lancaster changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Boyle keeping moving, preventing Lancaster from controlling successfully. Lancaster throws a big right hand that misses. Lancaster might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Boyle seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Boyle looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Lancaster has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lancaster looking to sit in guard and control but Boyle gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Lancaster working for a triangle but Boyle defends it easily.
Lancaster working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Boyle. Lancaster looking to hit a scissor sweep but Boyle is one step ahead there. Boyle is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lancaster is looking for a triangle but Boyle pushes his legs off easily.
Boyle sitting in guard here, content to control. Boyle trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Boyle is looking to work some ground and pound but Lancaster has wrist control. Boyle scoring with some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lancaster preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Boyle with a flurry of punches that miss. Lancaster utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Boyle has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Boyle trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Boyle trying to control the position from guard on top but Lancaster is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boyle tries to free his leg and advance position but Lancaster is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyle throws a big right hand that misses.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Lancaster closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. You can see the frustration on Boyle's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Lancaster wants to lay and pray for a moment but Boyle keeps working. Lancaster sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Boyle is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Boyle takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Boyle tries to get back to half guard but can't. Boyle struggling a bit here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lancaster fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Lancaster tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lancaster has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Lancaster trying to control the position but Boyle is working away. Boyle tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lancaster wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lancaster wants to lay and pray for a moment but Boyle keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Boyle dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Boyle waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lancaster. Lancaster takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Boyle shoots for a takedown but Lancaster saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Boyle looks to throw the jab but Lancaster is out of range. Lancaster fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Boyle avoids it really well and circles away. Lancaster moves away from the strike by Boyle. Boyle leaves Lancaster with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Lancaster looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Boyle is fending him off so far but Lancaster persists. Nope, Boyle circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Malcolm Lancaster. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boyle lands a jab to the head.
It looks like Malcolm Lancaster has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lancaster steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Boyle. Boyle throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lancaster sees it coming and avoids it easily. Boyle stuffs the takedown. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lancaster defending well as Boyle loads up on a big left hand. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Boyle, as that shot connected.
The fighters circling - Boyle throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Lancaster ducks under a wild hook from Boyle. Boyle is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Lancaster slips a jab from Boyle. Lancaster ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Boyle swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Lancaster staying out of range there. Lancaster shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Boyle as he avoids it easily. Nice defenses there by Lancaster. Boyle throws a jab but it's blocked by Lancaster. Boyle lands a nice shot that snaps Lancaster's head back.
Boyle drives through with a takedown into guard. Lancaster working for a triangle but Boyle defends it easily.

Boyle throws a strike but Lancaster rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Boyle keeping full guard, as Lancaster tries to pass. Boyle trying to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lancaster content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Lancaster looking to pass the guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Boyle holds on and takes a little breather. Boyle is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lancaster is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lancaster throws a strike but Boyle rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Boyle trying to control the position from guard on top but Lancaster is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boyle cracks Lancaster with a solid left hand. Boyle throwing strikes but missing. Boyle throws a sloppy strike and Lancaster has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Boyle is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Lancaster!
