Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Lundgren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vic Sotto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lundgren comes to the cage accompanied by Samma knas varje dag. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lundgren will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lundgren misses with a takedown attempt - Sotto sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Sotto shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lundgren's guard.

Sotto goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Lundgren turns into him and now he's in Sotto's guard.

Sotto bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lundgren's guard.
Lundgren is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.
Sotto passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Sotto is trying to get an arm triangle but Lundgren is defending well.

Lundgren manages to work his way to half guard, despite Sotto's best efforts.

Lundgren wants to control but Sotto is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Sotto is working for a kimura but Lundgren is defending it quite comfortably.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Sotto steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lundgren.

so Sotto counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Lundgren controls Sotto momentarily but Sotto frees himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Sotto counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lundgren's guard now.
Sotto is pushing down on Lundgren's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lundgren is fighting to maintain full guard but Sotto has managed to sneak the leg through.

Sotto closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Lundgren can't do much from the bottom here.
Sotto advances to full mount.
Lundgren is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Sotto swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lundgren is now in Sotto's guard. A big mistake from Sotto there, giving up the dominant position!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lundgren won't allow Sotto to sweep him here.
Vic Sotto has got the better of the ground game so far.

Lundgren wants to stand but Sotto has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Lundgren wants to control from the top but Sotto keeps moving.
Sotto tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Lundgren wants to stand but Sotto is controlling his posture from full guard.
Sotto manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lundgren manages to get himself to full guard.
Sotto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lundgren swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sotto sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lundgren's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Lundgren throws a one two combo.

Lundgren won't allow Sotto to pass to mount.

Sotto is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lundgren doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sotto.

Sotto maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Lundgren could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Sotto has cracked it and Lundgren is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Sotto!
