Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joaquin Bordado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bordado has chosen Number 1 spot as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beast throws a nice outside leg kick.
Nice sprawl there from Beast as Bordado shoots in.
Beast stuffs the takedown attempt from Bordado. Bordado gets slowly back to his feet.
Bordado looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Beast is fending him off so far but Bordado persists. Nope, Beast circles away and we're back to standing.
Tony Beast has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joaquin Bordado.
Bordado shoots in but no luck this time.

Beast lands with a hook. Bordado tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

A nice leg kick lands there from Beast.
Bordado tries to score a power double leg takedown but Beast sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bordado somewhat.
Beast scores with a sloppy right hand. Bordado should have avoided that one.
A decent looking cross lands there for Beast.
Beast moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Beast throws a series of strikes that have Bordado backpedaling.
Bordado is trying desperately to land a takedown but Beast is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Bordado.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Bordado is trying to escape the position but Beast is controlling the position.

Beast decides to stand back up. Beast steps back and let's Bordado get back to his feet.

Beast breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Beast scores with a sloppy right hand. Bordado should have avoided that one.

and Beast counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Beast bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bordado's head.
Beast is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Beast is working the combinations to good effect here.
Beast thuds his right hand into Bordado's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Beast closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bordado to the mat! Bordado manages to get full guard.
Beast stands and throws Bordado's legs to the side, diving into side control.
A lull in the action here as Beast stalls from top position.

Beast has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bordado lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Bordado throws a big right hand that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
