PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jolly Giant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duncan Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Giant might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Jolly Green Giant - the Kingsmen. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Rogers tries to clinch up.

Rogers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Giant gets back to half guard.
Rogers throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Rogers closes the distance and pushes Giant back into the cage.

Giant lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A left lands for Giant.

Rogers takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Rogers takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Giant cracks Rogers with an open hand slap.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Giant forces Rogers back against the cage and clinches.

Giant breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Giant throws a good cross that connects.

Duncan Rogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Giant cracks Rogers with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Rogers gets cracked there but stands up to it.

That has opened up Duncan Rogers's cut even more.
Giant is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Giant throws a nice inside leg kick.

The cut above Duncan Rogers's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Giant throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rogers on the side of the head.
Giant connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rogers momentarily.

Duncan Rogers's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Rogers closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
