PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ultimate Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jasper Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fighter kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Boom!. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gonzales.

It looks like Jasper Gonzales has been cut.
Fighter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gonzales.
Gonzales staying out of range there.
Gonzales ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fighter moves away.
Ultimate Fighter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fighter misses with a wild combination.
Fighter is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gonzales.

and Gonzales connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Gonzales is trying to trip Fighter. He has hold of a leg but Fighter is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Gonzales persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Gonzales drops back looking for a leg! Fighter is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fighter manages to kick Gonzales off! Gonzales jumps back into Fighter's guard.

Gonzales wants to pass the guard but Fighter is keeping the position.
Fighter is pulling down on Gonzales's head. It's preventing any offense from Gonzales, at least for the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Fighter throws a series of punches but Gonzales moves out of range.

Fighter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gonzales moves away.

Fighter tries to keep at a distance but Gonzales has taken the fight into the clinch.
Fighter wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Gonzales gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fighter wants to get back to his feet.

Gonzales is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fighter doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gonzales.
Fighter is concentrating on defense, preventing Gonzales from advancing position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Fighter has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Fighter swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gonzales tries to move into range but Fighter moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Fighter drops Gonzales with a beautiful combination! Gonzales stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Fighter is looking for the KO!

Fighter misses with a double jab
and Gonzales counters with a left and a right that stings Fighter.
Gonzales is still on wobbly legs! Can Fighter finish him?
Gonzales tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fighter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gonzales somewhat.
Ultimate Fighter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Fighter lands with a big left! Gonzales is wobbled badly! Fighter comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Gonzales to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
