Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Russel Ebert!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ebert ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Ebert closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sweep to the mat! Sweep manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ebert won't allow Sweep to get back to his feet.

Ebert is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Ebert missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Ebert works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Sweep is looking for a sweep. Ebert is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Ebert is looking for a kimura but Sweep is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ebert to get the leverage.
Ebert is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Sweep tries to get to full guard but Ebert has control of the leg.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ebert connects with a nice short shot to Sweep's temple.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Ebert lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
