Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Death Demon III (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muhammed Lawal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Death Demon III!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Muhammed Lawal!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawal looks to land a left hand but Demon III moved out of range nicely.
Demon III wants to clinch up but Lawal keeps it at a distance.
Demon III is looking to clinch but Lawal is avoiding it.
Demon III shoots in but no luck this time.
Demon III closes the distance and clinches up with Lawal, looking for a takedown. Demon III pushes Lawal against the cage but Lawal circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Demon III clinches up with Lawal and pushes him back against the cage.
Lawal gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Demon III.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Death Demon III. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lawal tries to break the clinch but Demon III is controlling the position.
Lawal has Demon III pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Demon III manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Demon III is pressed up against the cage. Lawal has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Demon III down to the mat. Demon III avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Demon III shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lawal napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Lawal is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lawal is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Demon III looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Lawal tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Lawal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Demon III. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lawal is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Demon III gets his way!
Demon III is breathing heavily.
You can see the frustration on Lawal's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Lawal prevents Demon III from getting a body triangle.

Demon III has the hooks in. Lawal is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Demon III is hanging on to Lawal's back as he tries to escape.
Lawal trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Lawal might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Demon III kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Death Demon III dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Demon III misses with a jab, cross combination.
Demon III gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lawal to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Demon III has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Lawal has passed into side control.
Demon III tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Lawal wants to lay and pray for a moment but Demon III keeps working.

Demon III is trying to control but can't.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Demon III is defending against the submission attempts here by Lawal.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Demon III is trying to stand.
Lawal wants to take a breather but Demon III is having none of it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Lawal looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Demon III working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lawal doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lawal manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Demon III doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Demon III utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Demon III lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lawal!

Lawal is looking to get to half guard.
Demon III working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Lawal looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Demon III! Submission of the night perhaps?
