Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mesquita leaves Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Silva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Mesquita drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Mesquita tries to move into full mount but can't pass Silva's legs.
Silva tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mesquita tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva is looking for a sweep.
Mesquita could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Silva gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mesquita trying to pass the guard but Silva defending well.
Mesquita is trying to control. Silva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Mesquita seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Mesquita seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mesquita is looking to advance position but Silva won't allow it.
Mesquita is working hard here to advance position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Silva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mesquita to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Mesquita is breathing heavily.

Silva pulls Mesquita in close to his closed guard and prevents Mesquita from doing any damage or advancing position.
Silva wants to stand but Mesquita is controlling the position.

Silva looking for a triangle here. Mesquita is fighting it but it looks tight! Silva pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Mesquita is tapping out - this one is all over!
