Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Juan Verelea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Drury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mick Drury told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Verelea lands a high kick to the side of Drury's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Verelea dives into guard, looking to finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Drury bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Verelea's guard.

Verelea has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Drury can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Drury thows a big elbow that misses.

Verelea has his foot on Drury's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Drury works his way back into a safe position though.
