Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Doug DeSouza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DeSouza's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, freedom. Hardy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Johnny Be Goooode. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeSouza moves out of range as Hardy strikes.
A big right from DeSouza misses.
Hardy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
DeSouza displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hardy throws out the jab.
DeSouza moves away from the strike by Hardy.
DeSouza loads up on a big right hand but Hardy slips the punch.
Hardy throws a lazy right hand but DeSouza sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
DeSouza thows a left - swing and a miss!
DeSouza throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hardy's waist but Hardy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing DeSouza off to one side.
Hardy slaps away a takedown attempt from DeSouza, before circling back to the center of the mat.

DeSouza throws a right and a left that Hardy avoids nicely.

DeSouza throws a shot from downtown. Hardy moves away and avoids it.
DeSouza misses with a takedown
and Hardy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Doug DeSouza has been cut.

DeSouza throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
DeSouza scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
DeSouza tries to move to mount but Hardy blocks the move with his legs.
DeSouza has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hardy!
Hardy is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
DeSouza is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Hardy has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Hardy!

Hardy stays in close to DeSouza's body and controls the position.
DeSouza is looking for a triangle but Hardy pushes his legs off easily.
Hardy would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
DeSouza is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hardy wants to stand but DeSouza has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Doug DeSouza dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Doug DeSouza's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hardy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. DeSouza sees it coming and avoids it easily.
DeSouza throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
DeSouza thows a body shot but no joy.
DeSouza throws a hook but Hardy blocks it.
Hardy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but DeSouza circles away quickly and effectively.
Hardy takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
DeSouza throws a shot from downtown. Hardy moves away and avoids it.
Hardy connects with a looping right hand.

Hardy looks to land a right hand but DeSouza moved out of range.
Hardy cracks DeSouza with a good jab.
DeSouza is rocked!

Oh DeSouza is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
DeSouza throws a lazy right hand but Hardy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
DeSouza seems to have got his legs back now.
DeSouza swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hardy counters with a lovely straight right hand!
DeSouza throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hardy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hardy uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from DeSouza.
A slow jab from Hardy misses its intended target.
DeSouza misses with a takedown
and Hardy counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

DeSouza looks up at the clock. Bad move! Hardy lands a right hand from hell, dropping DeSouza. Hardy pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
