And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SilvA blocks a head kick by Asebedo.

SilvA looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

SilvA is looking for a kimura but Asebedo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for SilvA to get the leverage.
SilvA missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
SilvA passes to full mount!
Asebedo is desperately trying to improve his position but SilvA has a good base and remains in mount.
Asebedo blocking the ground and pound.

SilvA looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Asebedo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for SilvA on the ground.
SilvA throws some wild stikes that Asebedo manages to avoid easily.
Asebedo manages to regain half guard. Good work.

SilvA is working for a submission of some sort.
Asebedo is looking to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
SilvA looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Asebedo trying to hold on to SilvA's head to control him but SilvA postures up.
Asebedo is not content to let SilvA control the position.

SilvA seems to be working for a kimura but Asebedo defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
SilvA is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Asebedo reverses the position - he's now on top in SilvA's guard.
SilvA looks gassed!
SilvA lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Asebedo!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Asebedo bucks up and throws SilvA to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Asebedo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Asebedo scores with a decent looking hook.

It looks like Royce SilvA has been cut.
Asebedo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck SilvA on the side of the head.

SilvA is rocked!
SilvA takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
SilvA is still on wobbly legs! Can Asebedo finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Asebedo dances in with a quick combination. SilvA is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Asebedo snaps SilvA's head back. SilvA stumbles backwards against the cage. Asebedo steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with SilvA's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. SilvA just didn't come prepared.
