Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buakev Law (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Hebert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Law's entrance music is Sierra Leone. A fine choice. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buakev Law!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Hebert!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hebert looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Law!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hebert goes for an armbar but Law turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Law.
Hebert keeping moving, preventing Law from controlling successfully.

Hebert wants to get back to his feet but Law is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Law pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hebert is keeping the position for now.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hebert is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Law is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Nice straight punches there by Law. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Law.


It looks like Sam Hebert has been cut.
Law tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hebert sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Law is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hebert shoots in for a takedown but Law shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Buakev Law seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hebert keeps the fight on the outside.
Hebert misses with a takedown attempt - Law sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Hebert blocks a head kick by Law.
Law misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Law tries a head kick but it misses.
No joy there for Law, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hebert shoots for a takedown but Law saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Law throws a series of punches but Hebert avoids them all with ease.

Law closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Law landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Hebert is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Law gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Law is looking to break free of the clinch but Hebert has double underhooks.

Hebert changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Law fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Buakev Law is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Law misses with the combination.
Law tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hebert swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Law throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Hebert changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Law looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hebert moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Law takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The ground and pound from Hebert seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Hebert controls the position from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Law is looking for a sweep.

Hebert working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Law is looking to reverse the position.

The cut man is working on Sam Hebert's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Law is pushing Hebert's head away, looking to escape. Hebert manages to hold on to the position though.
Hebert is putting a hurting on Law here, landing some big shots from side control.

Hebert takes a little break here. Law wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hebert landing strikes.
Law parries the strikes from Hebert easily there. Hebert is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Law to escape.
Hebert wants to control but Law is keeping him busy.
An elbow from Hebert crashes against the mat.

Law wants to get back to his feet but Hebert drags him back down.
Law gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Hebert trying to control the pace.
Law trying to hold on to Hebert's head to control him but Hebert postures up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Hebert controlling the action here.
Hebert wants to pass the guard but Law is defending well.

Hebert is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hebert thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

And that's the end of the fight!
Buakev Law showed his dominance in that final round.
