The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGoose fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Alexander Valentine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Valentine lands with a right hand.
McGoose looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
McGoose slips a straight right by Valentine.
Valentine takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
McGoose slips under a jab.
Valentine throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McGoose stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Valentine misses with a hook. McGoose ducked under it nicely.
McGoose slips a straight right by Valentine.
McGoose needs to keep his hands up - Valentine had a free shot at his head there.
A swing and a miss from Valentine.
McGoose scores with a jab to the head.

Valentine feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends McGoose sprawling to the canvas! McGoose rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Valentine finish him?!

McGoose is rocked!

It looks like Bruce McGoose has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Valentine throws a right hand that McGoose ducks under and follows up with a left that McGoose also avoids with ease.
McGoose is still on wobbly legs! Can Valentine finish him?
Valentine throws a hook but McGoose avoids it easily.
McGoose seems to have recovered his senses.
McGoose fails with an attempt to clinch.
Valentine dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Valentine drops McGoose with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but McGoose looks back up at him and smiles so Valentine waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McGoose swings for the body but Valentine moves out of range.
McGoose throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Valentine counters with a big left hand that crumples McGoose! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alexander Valentine!
