Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alipio drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Alipio has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Alipio there as he acknowledges the shot.

Alipio tries for a takedown but head sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Alipio takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
head fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Alipio throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. head was covering up waiting for the punch and Alipio finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alipio prevents head from getting back to his feet.
Alipio lands a couple of digs.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if head can do anything to dispel that myth.
Alipio seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Alipio closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Alipio! head is hurt baaadly! Alipio is firing away with more strikes - head is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
