Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Strongback (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Chaci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Strongback might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to See See Rider by Elvis. Tony Chaci has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Billy Strongback's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaci tries to close the distance and clinch but Strongback swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Chaci is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Strongback rushes Chaci and presses him up against the cage.

The is referee keeping an eye on Strongback - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Chaci is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Strongback pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Strongback has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Chaci regains guard immediately.
Chaci wants to stand and escape but Strongback is having none of it.

Strongback wants to get up but he can't break Chaci's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Chaci wants to stand and escape but Strongback is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Strongback shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Strongback was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Strongback bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Strongback stands up and we're back to a striking position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that Billy Strongback will probably get the nod.

Strongback is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Chaci pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Strongback is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
