Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Rawls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Hebert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Rawls!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Hebert!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rawls shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hebert but Hebert pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Rawls seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Rawls is keen to just control but Hebert is a slippery customer.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rawls in particular looking to stall.

Rawls bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Rawls is trying to move to mount but Hebert reverses beautifully and ends up in Rawls's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hebert wants to get up but he can't break Rawls's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Rawls takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Rawls shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hebert manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Rawls won't allow Hebert to get back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Rawls has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

John Rawls showed his dominance in that final round.
