The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Evans shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Brutality manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Brutality throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Evans escapes and throws Brutality's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Brutality is looking to regain half guard here but Evans keeps moving and retains side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Evans closes the distance and clinches up with Brutality, looking for a takedown. Evans pushes Brutality against the cage but Brutality circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Evans takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Brutality tries to score a power double leg takedown but Evans sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brutality somewhat.

Evans feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
