Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Stout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Stout!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Royce Lee!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lee closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stout did well to prevent Lee getting side control.
Stout is trying to maintain the position but Lee is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stout is staying active underneath Lee, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Lee keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Stout is trying to stand back up but Lee is controlling him
Lee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stout. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lee is trying to work for a kimura but Stout is defending well.
Stout gets back to full guard.
Stout is trying to control the position but Lee postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Lee missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Lee trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Stout controls Lee momentarily but Lee frees himself.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lee misses with a few strikes there.
Lee tries to clinch up.
Lee throws a series of punches but Stout moves out of range.
Lee moves in looking to clinch but Stout pushes him off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Stout looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lee lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Stout backs up against the cage.
Royce Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Stout.
Stout fails with the takedown

so Lee counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Lee controls from within his opponent's guard.

Stout tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Stout is breathing heavily.

Lee decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Stout, up you get!
A punch combination from Lee misses.

Lee has closed the distance and engaged Stout in a clinch.
Stout is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lee pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Lee tries to pull guard but Stout holds him up against the cage and eventually Lee drops back down to his feet.

Stout's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lee throws a nice looking combination but Stout bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Lee moves out of range of the body kick.
Lee tries to clinch there but Stout circles away.
Lee throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lee misses with a few strikes there.
Stout shoots and misses
and Lee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lee lands a really nice looking cross but Stout seems unphased.
Stout doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lee counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Lee connects with the punch.
Lee looks to land a combination. Stout sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lee is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Stout with a lazy takedown attempt
and Stout takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lee is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Lee wants to clinch.
Lee scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Lee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stout was well out of range. Poor timing from Lee.
Lee digs a good hook to Stout's body.
Lee stalks Stout and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Stout's face. Stout staggers backwards, shaken.
Lee paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Lee wants to clinch.
Lee comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Stout takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Lee lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Stout at a distance.

Lee takes the fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Royce Lee dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Stout takes one on the button.
Sam Stout is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lee throws a one two combo.
Lee scores with a jab to the jaw.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Stout swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stout shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
and Lee counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Lee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stout was well out of range. Poor timing from Lee.
Lee scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Lee punishes Stout's body with a nice straight punch.
Lee is looking to clinch.

Lee closes the distance and pushes Stout back into the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A looping hook to the body misses from Lee. Stout does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lee punishes Stout's body with a nice straight punch.
Lee jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Lee swats away the attempt to clinch by Stout.
Stout fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lee lands with a cross.
Lee misses with a wild body shot.
Stout misses with a takedown
and Lee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stout walks into a straight right hand from Lee.
Lee jabs at Stout's body.
Lee tries to clinch there but Stout circles away.
Royce Lee seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Stout swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Lee.
Lee is staying tight to Stout's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Lee lands a nice shot that snaps Stout's head back.
Lee dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Lee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Stout is desperately trying to improve his position but Lee has a good base and remains in mount.
Lee controlling the pace for now.

Lee is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Lee connects with a good right hand that stumbles Stout. Stout circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Stout misses with a takedown
and Lee counters with a two punch combo.
Stout takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lee stuns Stout with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Royce Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Stout wants to control but Lee postures up.

Lee decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Stout swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Stout keeping full guard, as Lee tries to pass.
Lee must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stout is on top in guard.
Stout wanted to stand there but Lee had control of the position.
Lee keeping moving, preventing Stout from controlling successfully.

Lee looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Stout has picked Lee up and slammed him! Lee can't keep hold of the triangle and Stout manages to pass to side control!
You can see the frustration on Lee's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Royce Lee has got the better of the ground game so far.
Stout wants to stand but Lee has his arm trapped.
Lee manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Lee is trying to control but can't.
Lee desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lee throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Lee holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Lee makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lee.
Lee has Stout pulled in close to control his posture.
Stout pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lee is keeping the position for now.
Sam Stout has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Royce Lee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Royce Lee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
