The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Demel misses with a head kick.

Van Demel drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Hlina drops back looking for a leg! Van Demel is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Van Demel manages to kick Hlina off! Hlina jumps back into Van Demel's guard.

Hlina drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hlina jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hlina won't allow Van Demel to get back to his feet.

Hlina thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hlina drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Van Demel manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hlina has Van Demel in his guard.

Van Demel stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Van Demel has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hlina drops down looking for an ankle pick but Van Demel pulls his leg out and moves away.

Van Demel is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hlina can't fight it off and eventually Van Demel manages to take the fight to the floor. Hlina looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hlina is looking to sinch up a triangle. Van Demel throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hlina's body to avoid the submission. Hlina has instead reached around Van Demel's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hlina arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
