Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Claude Harper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Boa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boa has chosen Zappa-Why does it hurt when I pee? as his entrance music. The key to victory for Claude Harper has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boa walks into a stiff left hand from Harper.
Boa drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Harper is trying to control Boa's posture but Boa avoids it.
Harper gets back to half guard.
Boa frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Boa working for a submission but Harper is keeping him at bay.

Harper is trying to maintain the position but Boa is very close to passing his half guard.

Harper looks like he's trying to stand up.
Boa not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Boa takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Boa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Harper manages to avoid it.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Boa.
Claude Harper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Boa.
Harper lands a jab to the head.
Harper's corner calls for a 1-2. Harper obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Boa throws a head punch that misses.
Harper is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Harper lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Boa backwards.
Harper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Harper throws a series of punches but Boa avoids them all with ease.
Claude Harper is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Harper tests Boa's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Boa pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Harper lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Boa wants to clinch
and Harper cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Harper lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Harper doesn't manage to clinch there - Boa circles away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Boa shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Harper counters with a stiff right hand.
Harper lands a left and a right that send Boa crashing to the mat, dazed. Harper thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Boa is rocked!
Harper clinches with his opponent.
Boa is still on wobbly legs! Can Harper finish him?
Harper throws a big uppercut that drops Boa! More strikes from Harper and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Boa lies dazed against the cage as Harper celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Claude Harper!
