The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua moves out of range as Lidstrom strikes.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lidstrom. Rua does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lidstrom misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rua.
Lidstrom missing with a left hand there. Rua was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lidstrom loads up on a big right hand but Rua slips the punch.
A jab from Lidstrom finds it's way through Rua's defenses.

Rua keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lidstrom tries to bum rush Rua with a series of wild strikes but Rua uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lidstrom avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Lidstrom looks to throw the jab but Rua is out of range.
Lidstrom throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lidstrom lands with a big right hook that stumbles Rua - he's out on his feet here! Lidstrom follows up with another monster hook that separates Rua from consciousness! Rua falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Lidstrom stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
