The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deforz listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

It looks like Brady Baird has been cut.

Deforz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Baird, pushing him back against the cage.
Deforz prevents a takedown attempt there.

Deforz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Baird tries for a takedown but Deforz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Brady Baird seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Baird looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Deforz is fending him off so far but Baird persists. Nope, Deforz circles away and we're back to standing.
Mulroon Deforz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brady Baird.
Baird fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Deforz moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Deforz scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Deforz circles away from the clinch attempt

and Deforz counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Deforz.
Baird throws an elbow that misses.

Deforz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Baird doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Deforz counters with a right hand to the body.

Deforz has taken the fight to the clinch.
Baird tries to score a body lock takedown but Deforz shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
A nice right hand lands inside from Deforz.

Deforz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Deforz scores with a jab. Baird acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

That has opened up Brady Baird's cut even more.

Deforz lands a left and a right that send Baird crashing to the mat, dazed. Deforz thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Deforz instigates a clinch.
Baird tries for a takedown but Deforz manages to get underhooks.

Deforz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Deforz scores with a one two! Baird had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

The cut above Brady Baird's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Deforz lands with a straight right. Baird didn't see that one coming.

Baird is rocked!
Deforz lands with a right that hurts Baird. Baird looks to clinch but Deforz throws a short knee that drops Baird. This one is all over!
