Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Plavsic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Holland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Plavsic comes to the cage accompanied by spit it out. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Billy Plavsic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chris Holland!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holland sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Plavsic to the ground! Holland dives into full mount looking to finish!


Plavsic is rocked!


It looks like Billy Plavsic has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Plavsic tries to lock up and control but Holland gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Oh Plavsic is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Holland with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Plavsic seems to have got his legs back now.

Holland goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Plavsic is on top in guard.
Plavsic works over Holland with some ground and pound from guard.
Holland is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Plavsic pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Holland is keeping the position for now.

Plavsic is looking to work some ground and pound but Holland has wrist control.
Holland keeping moving, preventing Plavsic from controlling successfully.

Plavsic has gone for a leg lock! Holland slips out almost immediately though and dives into Plavsic's guard.
Holland stands and throws Plavsic's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Plavsic manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Plavsic is working for a submission of some sort.
Plavsic is breathing heavily.
Plavsic moves nicely into side control.
The ground and pound from Plavsic seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Holland wants to get back to his feet.
Plavsic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Holland keeps working.

Plavsic is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Holland is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holland wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Plavsic tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Plavsic tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Holland dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Billy Plavsic's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Plavsic fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Holland sprawls well initially but Plavsic persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Plavsic stops Holland from getting back to his feet.

Plavsic is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Holland is just riding it out for now. Plavsic eventually gives up the hold.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Holland is trying to stand back up but Plavsic is controlling him
Plavsic is pressing down on Holland's thigh, looking to free his foot. Holland is holding on for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Holland is defending against the submission attempts here by Plavsic.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Holland is trying to stand.

Holland manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Holland tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Plavsic shoots in for a takedown but Holland shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Billy Plavsic is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Holland sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Plavsic to the ground! Holland dives into full mount looking to finish!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Plavsic is working to get back to half guard.

Holland is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Plavsic has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Holland looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Plavsic is desperately trying to improve his position but Holland has a good base and remains in mount.

Plavsic bucks up and throws Holland to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
Holland shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Holland tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Billy Plavsic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Plavsic wants to clinch up but Holland keeps it at a distance.

Plavsic drives through with a takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Holland showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Billy Plavsic's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Holland stuffs the takedown attempt from Plavsic. Plavsic gets slowly back to his feet.
Holland throws a head kick that misses.
Holland fails with an attempt to clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Plavsic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Holland tries to avoid it but Plavsic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Holland to the ground. Holland escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Plavsic fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Plavsic. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Holland tries to score with a low kick but Plavsic moves his leg out of the way.
Holland avoids the head kick by Plavsic.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Plavsic shoots for a takedown but Holland saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Plavsic shoots in and drives through. Holland sprawls well.
Holland closes the distance and clinches up with Plavsic, looking for a takedown. Holland pushes Plavsic against the cage but Plavsic circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Plavsic shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Holland as he jumps to the side.
Holland tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Holland throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Plavsic closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Holland parries the strikes from Plavsic easily there. Plavsic is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Holland to escape.
Holland tries to escape but Plavsic is in control.

Plavsic working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Plavsic working away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Holland is trying to buck Plavsic off.

Plavsic is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Holland looks calm but he's in trouble here. Plavsic gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Holland is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Plavsic lets go of the hold and Holland can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Billy Plavsic!
