The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

silva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Barrera to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Barrera working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Barrera works a leg free and moves into half guard.
silva trying to hold on to Barrera's head to control him but Barrera postures up.
Barrera throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barrera takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

silva tries to roll over but Barrera keeps him under control.
