Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between S S (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timo Tamppooni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tamppooni has chosen Revelations as his entrance music. S S had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamppooni keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
S looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
S tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tamppooni swivels and escapes.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

and Tamppooni decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in S's guard.
S is looking to stand up but Tamppooni isn't so interested in that idea.

S is looking for a triangle but Tamppooni pushes his legs off easily.
Tamppooni really doesn't want to stay on the ground with S. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

S gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

and Tamppooni counters with a nice double leg into side control. S won't be happy with that.

Tamppooni bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
S tries to bench press Tamppooni off him but Tamppooni keeps the position.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Tamppooni closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming S to the mat! S manages to get full guard.

S is working hard here to advance position.
Tamppooni has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of S is proving hard to escape from.
Tamppooni is fighting to break S's control of his arms but S is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

S had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tamppooni is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. S Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tamppooni's back instead.

S goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Tamppooni escapes and is now in half guard on top.
Timo Tamppooni has got the better of the ground game so far.
S tries to get to full guard but Tamppooni has control of the leg.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
S tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Tamppooni has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

You can see the frustration on S's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

S gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

S S has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
S looks to land a left hand but Tamppooni moved out of range nicely.

Well Tamppooni has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
