The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalczyk lands with a nice combination. Zedowski backs away looking to recover.
Zedowski fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kowalczyk sprawls well initially but Zedowski persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Kowalczyk tries to kick Zedowski off but Zedowski keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Zedowski seems to be looking for submissions.
Kowalczyk keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Zedowski is working for a submission of some sort.
Zedowski is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kowalczyk sees it coming and defends easily.
Zedowski thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Zedowski takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Zedowski in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Kowalczyk tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Zedowski!
