Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ister Band (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ister Band could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jackson Hawk's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ister Band!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jackson Hawk!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Band swats away the attempt to clinch by Hawk.
Band connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Hawk is looking to clinch but Band is avoiding it.
Band looks to throw the jab but Hawk is out of range.
Hawk throws a low kick but Band avoids it.
Band looks to land a left hand but Hawk moved out of range nicely.
Hawk tries to clinch but Band is having none of it.

Band bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hawk tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Band wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Band throws an elbow but Hawk slips to the side and avoids it well.
An elbow from Band crashes against the mat.
Band working the ground and pound but Hawk is defending the strikes.
Sloppy strikes there by Band.
Band lands an elbow.
Hawk wants to get back to his feet but Band drags him back down.
Hawk tries to buck Band off but Band is having none of it.
Band has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hawk!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hawk taking shots to the head.
Hawk is trying desperately to improve position.
Band avoids the attempt from Hawk to control.
Band lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Band sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Hawk keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Band controlling his opponent.
Band looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Band postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hawk looks a forlorn figure.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Band controlling from the full mount.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Band is landing with some decent strikes but Hawk is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Hawk tries to hold on but Band pushes him away.
Band cracks Hawk with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Hawk tries to reverse the position but Band maintains control.
Band fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Hawk slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Band prevents Hawk from improving his position.
Hawk keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Band working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Hawk tries to roll over but Band keeps him under control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Band tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hawk knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Hawk is pressing down on Band's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Hawk looking to control but Band passes into half guard.
Hawk looks gassed!
Band working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Band throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Hawk missing with punches from the bottom.
Hawk wants to get back to his feet.
Band winds up and cracks Hawk with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Hawk tries to get to full guard but Band has control of the leg.
Band working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Band lands a nice short elbow.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Band looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hawk with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hawk taking some punishment here, with Band in his half guard.
Band seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Hawk is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Band is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Band is nestled in close to Hawk, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Band connects with a nice short shot to Hawk's temple.
Band drops an elbow to the side of Hawk's head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Band is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
The referee warns Hawk that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Band looking to isolate an arm here. Hawk doesn't see it coming and as Band extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Band!
