These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopes stuns Bring the Pain with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Bring the Pain fails with the takedown.
Lopes scores with a punch to the head.
Lopes tries to bum rush Bring the Pain with a series of wild strikes but Bring the Pain uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bring the Pain tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lopes swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lopes cracks Bring the Pain with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Lopes lands the left hand.

It looks like We Bring the Pain has been cut.
Bring the Pain tries to clinch up but Lopes circles away and keeps his distance.
Lopes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bring the Pain shoots in but Lopes avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bring the Pain moves in looking to clinch but Lopes pushes him off.
Lopes is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Bring the Pain tries to close the distance and clinch but Lopes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bring the Pain looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lopes throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bring the Pain has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lopes keeps the fight on the outside.

Bring the Pain seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Lopes shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Bring the Pain is backing up but Lopes catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Bring the Pain covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Lopes Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
