Dante has chosen Dont Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Everett Dante acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Schwartz shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Schwartz showed some decent athleticism there.

Schwartz is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Schwartz in particular looking to stall.

Dante escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Schwartz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dante looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Schwartz has picked Dante up and slammed him! Dante can't keep hold of the triangle and Schwartz manages to pass to side control!

Schwartz stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Schwartz feints and as Dante raises his hands in defense, Schwartz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Dante had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Schwartz is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Dante Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Schwartz's back instead.

Dante has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Schwartz has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
