Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Rizo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronny Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rizo throws a good cross that connects.
Rizo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Torres sprawls well. Torres wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rizo gets slowly back to his feet.

Rizo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rizo is looking to advance position but Torres won't allow it.
Rizo seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Rizo throws a strike but Torres avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Rizo wants to pass the guard but Torres is keeping the position.
Rizo looking to sit in guard and control but Torres gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Torres stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rizo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rizo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Rizo looking to control but Torres passes into half guard.
Torres frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Torres avoids the attempt from Rizo to control.

Torres is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rizo is surviving well by controlling Torres's body position as best he can.

Torres stands up from mount. Strange move.
Rizo lands a head kick!
Rizo tries to clinch but Torres moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rizo fails with a takedown attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Torres as Rizo shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pedro Rizo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rizo is breathing heavily.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

so Torres counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Torres pushes down on Rizo's leg and manages to get into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Pedro Rizo will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Rizo tries to stand but Torres controls the position and pulls Rizo into his guard.
Rizo wants to stand and escape but instead Torres has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Rizo looking to control but Torres passes into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rizo is trying to control but Torres manages to pass to mount!
Rizo wants to control but Torres is having none of it.
Torres prevents Rizo from getting the reversal.
Rizo could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Torres is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Rizo is forced to tap! Great finish!
