Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rousimar Pellegrino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pellegrino comes to the cage accompanied by Sepultura - Roots Bloody Roots. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pellegrino paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Johnson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pellegrino sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Pellegrino fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Johnson sprawls well initially but Pellegrino persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Johnson is positioning himself well to prevent Pellegrino advancing to mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pellegrino wants to take a breather but Johnson is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pellegrino doesn't seem bothered though.

Pellegrino throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pellegrino off to one side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pellegrino shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pellegrino showed some decent athleticism there.

Pellegrino is looking for a kimura but Johnson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pellegrino to get the leverage.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Johnson tries to roll over but Pellegrino keeps him under control.

Johnson is controlling Pellegrino's trapped leg to prevent Pellegrino from advancing to side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Johnson lands a nice hook to Pellegrino's body. Pellegrino takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Johnson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pellegrino's head backwards.

Johnson throws a series of punches but Pellegrino avoids them all with ease.
Pellegrino fails with a takedown attempt.
Pellegrino changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to avoid it but Pellegrino manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson to the ground. Johnson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Pellegrino closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pellegrino lands in his opponent's guard.

Johnson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Pellegrino fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Johnson scores with a hook to the body. Pellegrino takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Pellegrino is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Pellegrino shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Johnson throws an overhand right that drops Pellegrino like a sack of potatoes! Johnson dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
