And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mizakota tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kazuki paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kazuki fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mizakota scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
No joy there for Kazuki, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kazuki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mizakota.
Kazuki misses with a series of wild punches.

Mizakota shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mizakota wants to work for an arm triangle but Kazuki is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Mizakota is working for a submission of some sort.
Kazuki wants to get back to his feet.

Mizakota is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kazuki has managed to free his arm - good work.
Mizakota tries to pass to full mount but Kazuki defends it.

Mizakota prevents Kazuki from standing back up.
Mizakota wants to control but Kazuki is keeping him busy.
Kazuki tries to kick Mizakota off but Mizakota keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Mizakota throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Mizakota holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Kazuki is pushing down on Mizakota's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mizakota is fighting to maintain full guard but Kazuki has managed to sneak the leg through.

Kazuki is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mizakota has managed to free his arm - good work.

Kazuki stalling away here and it's allowed Mizakota to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Kazuki looking to sit in guard and control but Mizakota gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Mizakota wants to pass the guard but Kazuki is keeping the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Mizakota counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Kazuki wants to get back to his feet.
Mizakota wants to control but Kazuki is keeping him busy.
Mizakota works his foot free and advances to mount.
Kazuki is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Mizakota is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kazuki has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kazuki!

Kazuki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mizakota has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kazuki has managed to get both his arms back between Mizakota's legs - danger averted.
Mizakota wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

and Mizakota counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Mizakota is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kazuki has his feet on Mizakota's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Mizakota pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Mizakota gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Kazuki on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Mizakota escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kazuki swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mizakota makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Kazuki is breathing heavily.
Kazuki bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Kazuki misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kazuki misses with a combination
and Mizakota counters with a two punch combo.
Mizakota throws a shot to the body.
Mizakota lands a slapping body shot.
Sho Kazuki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mizakota moves into the clinch successfully.
Mizakota trying to land knees to the body.

Mizakota manages to break the clinch.
Mizakota jabs Kazuki right on the nose. Kazuki blinks but takes it well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kazuki misses with a double jab
and Mizakota counters with an outside leg kick.

Kazuki chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mizakota can pounce on him.
Mizakota stalks Kazuki and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kazuki's face. Kazuki staggers backwards, shaken.
Mizakota scores with a head kick.


Kazuki is rocked!
Mizakota connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Kazuki to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Mizakota!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kazuo Mizakota!
