Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Crusty Pelican (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wacko Warner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Crusty Pelican!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wacko Warner!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pelican circles away quickly and effectively.
Pelican missing with a left hand there. Warner was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Warner bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pelican's head backwards.
Pelican throws a body punch but Warner moves out of range.
Pelican misses with a wild body shot.
Pelican misses the shot to the body.
Pelican uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Warner.
Warner misses with a low kick.
Warner catches Pelican with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
The fight stays on the outside here - Pelican looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Warner scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Warner throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pelican was covering up waiting for the punch and Warner finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Pelican is looking to stand up but Warner isn't so interested in that idea.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Warner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Warner is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Pelican had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Warner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pelican is fending him off so far but Warner persists. Nope, Pelican circles away and we're back to standing.

Well Warner has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
