Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between nik albert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hideo Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kane is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Kane working aggressively here.
Kane is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

albert pulls guard effortlessly.
Kane preventing the sweep.
Kane is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Kane postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! albert is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kane, into his guard.

albert trying to control the position from guard on top but Kane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kane working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. albert doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. albert manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kane is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and albert defends well.

albert wants to pass to mount but Kane is defending the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

nik albert has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hideo Kane.

albert fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kane, pushing him back against the cage.

albert drags the fight down to the ground.

albert is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kane is aware though and is defending well.
Kane sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed albert's guard.
albert knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kane on the ground.
albert is trying to control but can't.

albert looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Kane wants to take a breather but albert is having none of it.
Kane prevents albert from improving his position.

Kane has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can albert defend it? Kane steps over the head and cranks it - albert is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kane!
