Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Isaac Mena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammy Stout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stout has chosen Stranglehold as his entrance music. Sammy Stout has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mena is looking to slow Stout down with leg kicks.

Stout drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mena keeping moving, preventing Stout from controlling successfully.

Mena pushes Stout off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Stout blocks a head kick by Mena.
Mena swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Stout shoots for a double leg takedown but Mena sprawls well. He's pushed Stout's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Stout closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mena did well to prevent Stout getting side control.

It looks like Stout is going to stand back up.
Stout is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stout misses with a head shot.
Mena wants to hold on but Stout pushes him away.
Stout can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mena is looking to escape.

Stout tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Stout throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Stout shoots in and drives through. Mena sprawls well.

Mena throws a body punch but Stout moves out of range.

Stout shoots in looking for a takedown. Mena tries to sprawl out of it but Stout keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mena manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Stout closes the distance and clinches up with Mena, looking for a takedown. Stout pushes Mena against the cage but Mena circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Mena has one foot on Stout's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Stout throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Stout decides to stand back up. Stout steps back and let's Mena get back to his feet.
Stout shoots in for a takedown but Mena shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mena throws a right hand that Stout ducks under and follows up with a left that Stout also avoids with ease.
